    What Rewards Architecture contributes to Cardinal Health 
    Rewards Architecture is responsible for designing, developing and administering sales compensation and reward/recognition architecture that attracts, retains and motivates sales teams to drive superior performance and results that align with business strategies.


    The Consultant, Sales Compensation Administrator is responsible for the monthly and quarterly administration of our sales compensation plans. They will also be responsible for maintaining all the commission administration data that is used for ad hoc reporting and quarterly reporting for senior leadership, as well as building modeling to articulate impacts on sales compensation and design decisions. They also serve as the point of contact for all our sales teams if they have questions about sales incentives.


    What is expected of you for success in your role 

    ·       Demonstrates advanced knowledge of how to interpret and apply current market trends to establish and implement an effective sales reward structure

    ·       Works independently and generates conclusions around data to drive process improvements and system improvements and to increase accuracy, efficiency and effectiveness in support of sales rewards architecture 

    ·       Creates advanced compensation and performance analytics and reporting by synthesizing information from multiple sources for varied constituents 

    ·       Facilitates/manages processes in a moderately complex matrix environment 

    ·       Proactively provides internal customers with quality experiences through effective communication; listens to customers' needs and takes actions to meet them 


    Responsibilities

    ·       Assists in the annual sales compensation plan design process 

    ·       Builds financial templates and models to calculate sales compensation payouts and varied performance scenarios to show the financial impact of decisions

    ·       Assists/leads annual planning and maintenance of sales quotas

    ·       Translates compensation plan designs into detailed reporting requirements

    ·       Assembles sales-facing communications - effectively detailing plan designs, support processes and tools

    ·       Pulls and analyzes data from various sources to calculate sales compensation payouts on a monthly and quarterly basis 

    ·       Supports process for measuring sales compensation plan effectiveness 

    ·       Creates and maintains SOP for sales compensation calculation and administration 

    ·       Assists in the management of a robust compensation governance model 

    ·       Collaborates with SMEs to ensure best practices and controls are regularly reviewed, implemented and followed

    Qualifications 

    ·       Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, or equivalent work experience preferred

    ·       5 years of general business experience preferred

    ·       Sales compensation administration experience preferred

    ·       Finance background a plus

    ·       Advanced Excel skills

    ·       Strong communication skills

    ·       Customer service, problem solving and analytical skills required

    ·       Must have the ability to interpret data and ask questions regarding outliers

    ·       Strong curiosity in the "why" of the data that is presented

    ·       Critical thinking skills

    Anticipated salary range: $66,500 - $99,645

    Job Summary
    The Senior Compensation Analyst provides analytical support for the administration of compensation programs, position evaluations, salary recommendations, and other detailed research projects. Objectives for this role include conducting external market research and internal benchmarking by utilizing and optimizing current tools, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve and quality control current practices. The analyst will also be responsible for ongoing project management support, including managing multiple deliverables at once and keeping stakeholders informed. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment.

    Essential Functions

    • Implements and administers compensation programs that are internally equitable and externally competitive.
    • Market prices new internal jobs by gathering job descriptions, organizational information, and internal/external market data.
    • Supports annual incentive payout and annual performance adjustment processes by implementing a detailed work plan, working closely with internal departments to analyze data, gathering details for final financial results, and executing individual payout process.
    • Provides confidential counsel and recommendations to HR consultants relative to individual compensation actions.
    • Maintains the tools and processes used for the allocation of merit and incentive award programs.
    • Researches and responds to discovery requests in utility regulatory proceedings.
    • Participates in compensation surveys.
    • Prepares and analyzes salary survey data.
    • Reviews changes in wages and salaries for conformance to policy.
    • Researches and analyzes market data to update base salary ranges.
    • Partners with Recruiting, Human Resources, and Legal.
    • Supports ad hoc analysis, including special leadership requests.
    • Essential Responsibilities Senior Compensation Analyst:

    • Builds relationship with external vendors for compensation survey selection and participation.
    • Builds and maintains compensation data contained in third party software.
    • Analyzes data to support development of salary increase budgets.
    • Assists with administration and analysis of executive pay programs.
    • Maintains SOX controls.
    • Builds models to project short and long-term incentive plan costs.
    • Required Qualifications For Position
    • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
    • 4-6 years Minimum of 2-4 years of compensation experience for analyst and 5+ years for senior
    • Self-motivated and resourceful with the proven ability to learn quickly
    • Demonstrated ability to operate with a high degree of accuracy
    • Strong time management skills and ability to adapt to competing priorities
    • Demonstrated superior judgment, diplomacy, and tact, with a willingness to speak up in the midst of adversity
    • Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to keep absolute confidentiality in actions
    • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of leadership
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and PowerPoint Workday
