Please join WTW’s Lori Wisper and Deniz Colak as they outline considerations for effective pay practices in times of uncertainty which will include research from WTW’s recent survey on Pay Effectiveness and Design, a global survey that included approximately 1,900 participants.  They will also provide concrete examples of what other companies are doing as well as ideas and best practices.


Lori Wisper, Managing Director at WTW

Lori is a Managing Director in WTW’s Work & Rewards line of business, holding multiple leadership positions and serving as the Global Solutions Leader for Compensation Strategy and Design. With over 35 years of experience in consulting and corporate HR, she focuses on strategic rewards, including global compensation strategy, total reward strategy, incentive plan design, pay for performance, and performance management. Lori has worked extensively across industries such as aerospace, consumer goods, manufacturing, utilities, retail, and financial services.

She has also served as Head of Global Total Rewards in several companies, advising on the design and implementation of reward programs. Before joining WTW, Lori was the Director of Global Total Rewards for Discover Financial Services and Underwriters Laboratories Inc.

Lori holds a B.S. from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Loyola University of Chicago. She has written articles for WorkSpan and delivered speeches for various organizations, including World at Work and the Chicago Compensation Association. Lori has been quoted in major publications like the Wall Street Journal and Forbes, and appeared on CNBC and CBS News.

Deniz Colak , Director at WTW

Deniz is a Director in Work & Rewards at WTW’s Chicago office, specializing in developing tailored human capital solutions aligned with organizational strategy, market dynamics, and shareholder expectations. With 16 years of international experience across Human Capital, Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations Management, Deniz has a comprehensive understanding of the value chain. He has delivered projects for various sectors, including Automotive, Consumer Goods, Defense, Financial Services, Higher Education, Insurance, Logistics, Power & Utilities, and Aviation.

His project experience includes job analysis, evaluation and leveling, organization analysis, diagnostics and design, and designing job architecture, career, performance, and rewards management frameworks. Before joining WTW, Deniz worked at Korn Ferry and Lockheed Martin Corporation in various management functions.

Deniz holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in Operations Research from Southern Methodist University. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt practitioner and a graduate of Lockheed Martin Operations Leadership Development Program.
