Presentation overview

In an ever-changing, highly disruptive, and on-demand world, we must keep up with what matters most to our workforces.  The pandemic did not create the new work exchange, it was already beginning to emerge as values started to shift from scoring that corner office, to feeling good about the actions of your company in the communities where you work. Distributed digital leadership, stakeholder capitalism, remote work and brand purpose have shifted the fundamentals of work, including the premise that work is no longer a place. In short, work is being reworked. Much of how we are working today would be unrecognizable to just a few decades ago, when workers and employers relied on contract of long-term employment in exchange for a series of titles, perks and rewards.

Currently, the worker experience is primed to play a more vital role in organizational performance, and the perks and bennies we have relied on for years aren’t likely to deliver the same impact in the New Work Exchange. We fully expect to see ongoing shifts in how, when, and why we work.  Delivering on the critical components for organizational success requires rewards professionals who are prepared to adapt, respond and actively work to align people with where their organizations — and the world — are going.
